This easy Banana Mango Smoothie recipe is made with fruit and dairy free milk, so it's entirely plant based/vegan yet still super creamy. A refreshing tropical morning treat!
Place ingredients in a high-power blender in the order listed. Blend until smooth.
Notes
Ingredient notes
Mango: A lot of the creaminess in this smoothie comes from the frozen mango, so I do not recommend substituting fresh.
Banana: You can also use a frozen banana, but I find it makes it hard to get the smoothie to blend.
Orange: I throw a whole orange into the smoothie for juiciness and a little tang (I peel it and cut it into 8 pieces, I don’t add it in full, just for your information). If you do not have a strong blender, I recommend either filleting the orange or using just its juice.
Lime juice: This is optional, but adds a nice flavor to the smoothie!
Milk: You can use any non-dairy milk you enjoy. I used an unsweetened coconut almond milk which was very delicious with the mango and banana.
Recipe tips
If you don’t have a powerful blender, I recommend blending everything without the mango first, then adding it gradually until everything is blended smooth.
I recommend serving the smoothie immediately. If you want to take it with you, keep it well chilled in a cooler for up to two hours.
You may need to use the pusher that came with your blender to get the smoothie to blend. If it doesn’t blend at all, add a little more milk.
