or alternatively ground paprika, smoked or regular

Instructions
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown and break up beef, onion, celery, diced pepper and garlic; drain and set aside.
1 ½ pounds ground beef,
1 cup diced yellow onion,
½ cup diced celery,
½ cup diced green or red pepper,
2 cloves garlic
In a slow cooker, combine remaining ingredients except buns and pickles/chips; stir in beef mixture.
¾ cup ketchup,
¼ cup water,
1 tablespoon brown sugar,
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce,
1-2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar,
2 tablespoons mustard,
2 teaspoons smoky BBQ seasoning
Cover and cook on LOW setting for 6 to 8 hours. Spoon onto buns; garnish with pickle slices, if desired.

Notes
Use ground beef, turkey, or chicken
Add bell pepper, grated carrot, or zucchini if desired
BBQ sauce works instead of ketchup
Freeze leftovers up to 3 months
