Notes
Ingredient notes
Parmesan cheese: I love adding this to my asparagus just as much as I love it with my air fryer broccoli! Feel free to leave it out if you want to make the recipe dairy free or don’t have any on hand. Using some lemon zest is a great alternative if you’re looking to add flavor without adding the cheese.
Olive oil: This is my preferred oil to use on vegetables, but feel free to use the cooking oil you keep on hand in your kitchen.
Asparagus: I prefer using medium-thick asparagus stalks for this recipe. Very thin ones quickly overcook in the air fryer in my experience, and very thick ones tend to be stringy. If you use quite thin asparagus, make sure to check on it often to make sure it doesn’t end up mushy and overdone!
Recipe tips
Make sure to get the parmesan cheese mixed in well with the olive oil to coat the asparagus. Don’t just sprinkle it on, it will burn if you do.
Check on the asparagus a few times as it cooks, this is a vegetable that moves between undercooked and overcooked quickly.
