Air fried cauliflower

  • This recipe is beyond quick and easy – it’s ready and on the table in just 15-20 minutes!
  • The cauliflower comes out so savory, flavorful and with the most amazing roasting flavors. But I love that I don’t need to turn on a large oven for a roasted vegetable side, it’s so much simpler with the air fryer.
  • You only need a handful of ingredients, so this is a breeze to pull together, even on busy weeknights.

Ingredients you’ll need

Here is a visual overview of the ingredients in the recipe. Scroll down to the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post for quantities!

ingredients for air fryer cauliflower
Ingredients for Air Fryer Cauliflower: Cauliflower florets, olive oil, grated parmesan cheese, ground paprika, garlic & onion powder, salt and pepper.

Ingredient notes

  • Cauliflower: I cut up a head of cauliflower into florets, but feel free to use bagged, pre-cut cauliflower.
  • Parmesan: I love adding the parmesan cheese, but feel free to leave it out if you want the recipe to be dairy free.
  • Olive oil: This is my favorite oil here, but feel free to substitute a different vegetable oil you use in your kitchen.
  • Seasoning: Feel free to switch up the seasoning – squeeze on some lemon juice after air frying, use sumach and Za’atar on the cauliflower in place of the spices the recipe originally calls for, or go heavy on the garlic and leave out the ground paprika instead.

How to air fry cauliflower

Note: I always preheat my air fryer for 5 minutes at 410°F while I prep my ingredients!

Just toss the cauliflower with the oil, parmesan cheese and seasoning in a boil, then air fry until crisp-tender. That’s all, absolutely no fuss about this recipe!

Recipe tips

  • If you cut up your own cauliflower, you will inevitably end up with larger and smaller florets (because that’s just how cauliflower works). Bagged pre-cut cauliflower can be quite evenly sized in contrast. Don’t stress this, you will just end up with softer and crisper florets, my family never minds.
  • Make sure to use a large enough bowl to toss the cauliflower with the seasoning, you’ll want to have enough room to ensure an even coating of oil and spices on every floret.
  • I have a 5.5 quart air fryer, and it holds about 1 pound of cauliflower at a time. If your air fryer is much smaller, you’ll need to cook your cauliflower in batches.
